The HAPC Sri Lanka branch organised the books distribution program for the second time.  On this ocassion it was for 650 needy children from the Tsunami affected coastal region in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka.  The HAPC volunteer team, with the assistance of the School Principals, selected the needy children representing multi-ethnic communities.

Hon Cabinet Minister for Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, who was the chief guest at this occasion, appreciated the help extended by HAPC for poor children, which enabled them to resume their studies in the new term of the school.

Mr. Sampath Perera, Councilor, and volunteer of HAPC and his team organised the event. Chairperson of HAPC Sri Lanka, Ms. Hemanthi Goonasekera, also participated at this event.
