Boston, MA– June 14, 2007
Members of the Board of Directors of HAPC, USA took the time last week to attend and host an informational booth at TiECON East, a networking event sponsored by TiE, an international organization dedicated to entrepreneurship and fostering collaborations between individuals and organizations.
TiECON East, which was held in Boston, MA from June 14th – 16th, was an ideal venue, for the USA chapter, to raise awareness of the vision, mission and goals of the HAPC organization, on a global basis.

Members of the US chapter prepared detailed brochures and pamphlets on the work being conducted globally by the organization and had the opportunity to network with colleagues to discuss the concepts of social entrepreneurship and the role that Help A Poor Child plays in the broader scheme of providing aid and assistance to families and children struggling in terrible poverty.
The booth was well received and several attendees of the conference expressed an interest in supporting the HAPC organization. At the event, members of the USchapter held a raffle for tickets to a local soccer match between the New England Revolution and the LA Galaxy, which will feature David Beckham as a member of the LA Galaxy team. Proceeds of this raffle will go toward supporting the mission and goals of the organization. The US chapter hopes to organize additional events to raise awareness in the near future.
